Final artist statement 1

My work was inspired by dreams and what lingers in your mind as a kid. After a dream where you are scared half to death by the closet/under bed monster in your mind. The ligering of being young and afraid of something like a monster from your dreams. This project was really fun and pushed me to learn new skills that will help me in the future.I learned a lot of great skills in photoshop and illustrator which have great uses in my degree. As well as learned the importance of creativity and the unspoken culture of zines and how you visually tell a story instead. A topic I would really never think of became a source of inspiration and fun. My idea did not shift too much but I really thought it would be more wordy and such but in the end just convaid a feeling through art. Trying to make you go back to when you were a kid full of joy and wonder about all the things in life and what went through your head as a child which now makes you laugh and feel nostalgic. I would definitely do something I am more passionate about but I really enjoyed all the moving pieces and enjoyed the brainstorming, for something out of the box. A topic I would really never think of became a source of inspiration and fun. This project is highly recommended for a cool project or to get out of your comfort zone and try something new and fun, digitally new!
